During the arctic front, we broke out the heavy duty winter wear, including the Marty McFly vest that Austin and Thu got for B. Seriously, could this kid get any cuter?

A Horse That's Just His Size

Brooks is all about riding his rocking horse these days. He can climb on and off all by himself, and rides to town. Thank you, Mr. Clyburn!

A Man After His Mom's Heart

Brooks has been busy pushing his new shopping cart all over the place. When he pulled out the ketchup bottle, I thought, "That's my boy!"

No!

Brooks is getting more and more "headstrong" these days, as evidenced by his favorite new word: "No".



Pop just asked B for a sugar. Brooks' response: "No."








But Mommy, I'll give YOU a sugar!

Horses!

We spent Christmas in Kerrville this year, and B got to see a horse for the first time! He calls horses "nuhs" because they say "naaaay". Obviously.




Aunt Sarah introduced us to the horses.

More Presents?

Brooks got to open even more presents on Christmas Eve, and then Santa came on Christmas morning.



Brooks and Mimi Jean both love to unwrap gifts!












Santa brought Brooks a bus that he can drive. (His favorite thing in the world is spotting buses when we drive anywhere.) So far, he hasn't logged many miles on the bus, but he sure does like the button that honks the horn and plays a song...!

Poochie Parade

One of the first words Brooks learned to say was "dog" (or "dah"). You can only imagine how much fun he had watching Jake, Luke, Marcellus, Gus and Butters run all over Kerrville. He and Momma K thought it was hilarious.

Opening Gifts

Brooks had such a great time at Christmas learning how to rip wrapping paper. And the stuff inside was pretty fun, too!
