Sitting Up (I can do it myself!)

The week that Momma K came to visit, Brooks decided to show off by learning how to do lots of things, including sitting up all by himself.

Here's how it goes:

And then he's off again!

Mom, do you know how cute I am?

Playing with Gram

Gram came to play with B in his new play area. Apparently, he's planning on driving her somewhere. "Let's go, Gram!"

Visit from Momma K and Grandpa

This week, Momma K and Grandpa came for a visit. Momma K stayed for two whole days and played with B the whole time. Grandpa came on the last day, and we were so glad to get to see him too!

Please come back again soon - we miss you already!

Mother's Day!

We had a great day celebrating our FIRST Mother's Day! We went to brunch with Grandad, 2Mama, Grandma Jo, Uncle Kirby, Aunt Stephanie and their kiddos, Cade, Olivia & Nicole. Here are some photos from brunch:

Pop thought it was a hilarious
Mother's Day joke to give Brooks
the butter knife at brunch.
Ha ha.

After B fixed Uncle Kirby's tie, he
tried eating a lemon for the
first time!

After brunch, Pop, Mommy, Grandma Jo and B took the poochies to the park for some fetch. Here are the doggies, tired after a lot of running. EVERYONE had a fun day!

New Food Experiences

Now that B is getting to be so big, we're experimenting with some new food:

Sippie Cup
After figuring out which end was up, B decided he'd take a sip of water. We still haven't mastered the part about tilting the cup, but we'll get there!

Safe Solids
B has tried watermelon and cantaloupe in his "safe solids" feeder. So far, he likes them both.

Summer Shorts

As if I couldn't get enough of those chunky legs already, it's time to break out the summer shorts -- how cute can he get?!

Blocks in the Morning

Brooks gets to play blocks in Mommy's room every morning while she finishes getting ready for the day. Some mornings, Mommy can't help herself -- more pictures of Super B and his blocks!

Slumber Party with Grandma Jo

Brooks and Mommy went to Conroe last weekend and spent the night at Grandma Jo's. We had lots and lots of fun! Brooks even showed Grandma Jo how to play with blocks.

Brooks also decided that he needed to show Grandma Jo and Mommy how he can scoot everywhere with his arms. Lookout Mommy, here I come!

And he's just about to figure out this crawling business. He's up on all fours now, but hasn't quite pieced it all together. Yikes! Mommy and Pop are in trouble soon!

Summer Hat

Brooks needed a summer hat to keep him in the shade during walks with Mommy and the poochies. Here are some shots of the kid and his new lid:
