Practicing During the Off Season

He's working on catching the football, and this is a new technique. Very effective.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo

Brooks made a sombrero at school in honor of Cinco de Mayo. I think he looks a bit more Venetian Gondolier than Mexican Liberator, but either way, he looks adorable.

Take B Out to the Ballgame

Brooks went to his first Astros game last weekend. He got an Astros hat and wore it for the next two days.

Day at the Zoo

Gram, Pop and Momma took B for his first trip to the zoo. He had so much fun and tried to climb over the fences to get up close to all the animals!

Pop! Look at the animals!

Gram showed Brooks the giraffes.

Momma and B posed with the elephant.

Here is Brooks coming back for Momma -- she apparently wasn't keeping up with the program!

Gram and Brooks check out some more animals.

The lions came right up to the window to tell Brooks hi.

Brooks is telling Gram and Pop that this little goat is sleeping.

Hey goat, are you sleeping too?

Texas Tradition

You're not officially a Texan until you've had your picture taken in a field full of bluebonnets. Brooks liked them so much that we couldn't get him to look up at the camera.

First Easter Egg Hunt

Brooks was an Easter superstar. After greeting everyone at church with a "HI" and "BUH-BYE", he found all the eggs that the Easter bunny left for him.

The first egg. Each subsequent egg came one at a time back to the basket.

I got one!

And another one!

B counts his eggs. (Have I mentioned that he can count to 20? The kid is a genius.)

Grandad helped Brooks find the Goldfish inside the eggs. Man does that Easter Bunny know what a boy likes!

Our little Easter Bunny with Grandad and 2Mama...

...and with Gram!

Momma, Pop and the little guy.

After we took off the Easter shirt and tie, we let Brooks have a run at the chocolate bunny that Gram brought. Yum!

Zack's Birthday Party

Our friend Zack celebrated his 30th birthday at the West Alabama Ice House -- the perfect place for all of us to spend a beautiful spring afternoon.

Brooks and LP played together and even clapped to the music from the band.

Never too early to start learning how to play 42.

So THAT'S what happens to you when you turn 30...

Trainspotting

One of Brooks' favorite pasttimes is watching trains. Pop and B got an early jump on it this morning -- B isn't even out of his PJs yet!
