Ho Ho WAAAAAHHHH!!!

Before Christmas, we took the boys to meet Santa Claus. Brooks and Santa apparently go way back; they chatted a lot about the Batman toys and new sleigh Brooks was hoping Santa would bring him. Finn was... not a fan. We eventually got him calmed down, only to have him turn around and see Santa right behind him AGAIN!

Zoo Day!

Over the Christmas break, we spent a day at the zoo with our good friend Gwen. Finn's favorite animal was the elephant -- you can see Finn waving his "trunk" hello above Pop's head. Meanwhile, Brooks liked the jaguar even though Brooks knows that his New Balance shoes are faster than a jaguar and a cheetah.

A Visit with Grandma Jo

Trick or Treat!

We took the boys trick or treating on Gram's street and had such a great time. The last photo shows the boys enjoying a cold one (of water) after a hard night's work. Good job guys!

A Superhero Kind of Morning

Here they are, SpiderMan and Batman, ready for a day of fighting crime on the playground at school. In fact, when we arrived at school, Brooks dashed into his class and ran laps around the rug while singing "Duh-nu-nu-nu-nu-nu-nu-nuh, Duh-nu-nu-nu-nu-nu-nu-nuh, BATMAN!" Then he busted a Batman pose. Finn plays a more subtle SpiderMan, but don't let those big muscles and sweet face fool you.

Getting Ready for Halloween

Last weekend, we got ready for Halloween by carving our pumpkin into a jack-o'-lantern. Grandma Jo came to town to visit, and she helped keep Finn occupied during the carving (a very important job) and also did art work with the boys before dinner time. She read to the boys, she chased them around the house, and fed them dinner. We all say, "Come back soon, Grandma Jo!"

Brooks Turns 3!

Brooks had a great time at his birthday party. We had it at Wonderwild, where he jumped, climbed and choo-chooed like crazy. Afterward, he celebrated with some cake. And a cupcake. And some ice cream.

Finn had a great time too. He got to jump on the inflated floor and play in the ball pit, which is tall cotton for this guy.
