Mashed Potatoes

Brooks tried mashed potatoes for the first time last week. He liked them, despite the fact that these photos suggest none of them made it into his mouth.

Aunt CC's Birthday

Happy Birthday Aunt CC! Thanks for inviting me to dinner. I got to stay up past my bedtime and had lots of fun!

Baby Signing Time

Every morning after breakfast, B and Mommy watch baby sign language videos. After several weeks of watching, just this past weekend, Brooks started signing "more". He was quite emphatic about it when there were Puffs on the menu.

I suppose it goes without saying that Mommy enjoys the videos more for the cuddle time with B than for the signing itself...

Busted

B isn't really allowed to watch TV other than his baby sign language videos. Apparently, there are exceptions to every rule.

Swim Lessons: Take 2

We had to switch swim lessons to a new place earlier this summer, and we are loving the new class. B is quite the little fish and has a great time in the pool.

Two Fer

Here, Brooks has combined two of his favorite pasttimes: reading, and playing with the dog kennels. He loves to scoot back and forth between the two kennels, and open and close each door several times. The dogs have learned that the kennels are only theirs when not in use by B.

PS - He has learned how to say "dog" (when he sees one of his dogs) as of yesterday. Such a smartie!!

Ahhhh.....

I know most of the blog "fan base" is primarily interested in photos of B, but Mommy & Pop (actually, Christine & Owen) took a vacation to Cabo and had the best time. We missed the little guy, but the pina coladas helped us cope. Meanwhile, little B got to hang out with his grandparents and was spoiled rotten, to be sure.

Brooks got to meet Amanda while she was in town, and got a cool Ronald McDonald toy to prove it. Please ignore the knot on his forehead -- we are learning how to walk these days.
