Brunch with Grandma Jo

Grandma Jo has a Longhorn blanket on her couch, which was the first thing Brooks saw when he walked in the door. He ran straight for it, climbed on the couch and said, "Texas!"

Playing outside in the backyard...

Grandma Jo and Brooks share a favorite hobby: looking at pictures of Brooks!

Brooks and Grandma Jo are getting ready for snack before we have to leave. Thank you for a fun day, Grandma!

Shower Time

Brooks likes playing in Mom & Pop's shower these days.

LP's Birthday Party

After a big morning at the Livestock Show, we ended the day with an afternoon at Wonderwild for our friend Lindsay's birthday party. Talk about a big day!!

Jumping in the bucket of balls -- so much fun!

Giddyup, horsey!

All aboard!

Wheeeeeeeeeee!

B and Pop bounced on the jumpy floor with the birthday girl.

A party with goldfish? Now THAT's my kind of party!

On the way home, we were stopped at the train tracks next to a firetruck (or, in Brooks-ese, a "si-suh" that goes "aaAAAAhhh!"). The firemen were nice enough to roll down the window and wave at B... who was in too much awe to wave back.

We got home just in time for dinner. Here is Brooks killing some time while Momma gets it ready.

Our Cowboy in Action

Earlier this month, we took B to his first Livestock Show. This little cowboy had so much fun!

He rode on the "train" from the parking lot to the show with Aunt Sarah.

Howdy padna.

Pop and B, headed for the petting zoo.

B got to pet baby sheep, baby goats, llamas, donkeys, chickens, pigs, bunnies, and wallabees. He didn't miss a beat -- just walked right in and started patting away!

B got to drive a green tractor all by himself. After a hard day's work, this cowpoke was pooped, but still smiling!

Go Texan Day at School

We're ready to leave for school, and Momma makes us stop for some last minute pictures of the little buckaroo.

New Landscaping

Momma and Pop had new landscaping put in the front area, so we all decided to go explore it.

We put down a rug because it had been raining. Apparently, B thought it looked like a good place for a rest.

Checking out the new flowers.

B likes to ride on Pop's shoulders and then Pop bends all the way over to the ground. I think B is feeling like Jack on Titanic: "I'm the king of the world!"

Thanks for being so much fun Pop!
